Taking a very upfront approach to the changes happening in the industry and ready to mould and re-strategize to meet the evolving needs of existing customers and new customers, Mehala Machines has strategically positioned Orbito, its in-house brand, as an entry level machine and is developing a dealer network to service this vast market in the best way. “We cannot afford to ignore the growing awareness among domestic players to invest in better and upgraded machines. Of course what they are looking at is not very high-end automated solutions like the garment export segment is doing, but small upgradation that will improve quality and help them move up the value chain like under-bed trimmers and small mechanical and system interventions to upgrade systems,” says Ashim Das, CEO, Mehala.
“We are training our dealers and also deploying our own people to move in the market and support their efforts,” adds S. Carthic, Director, Mehala. The effort is to create a competent supply chain where every customer, whether directly with Mehala or through the dealer network is fully satisfied with the product and after-sales-service. “For us every customer is important and dealers are the link with many of the manufacturers using our machines, so they must imbibe our motto of ‘committed to customer delight’,” reasons Ashim.
The company is creating a dedicated team for training its clientele in the country and a project team for end-to-end solutions has already been put in place. Both Ashim and Carthic are very upbeat of moving in a space where Mehala is going to play a bigger role in developing the industry.
Since its start in year 2000, Orbito has been able to add a wide range of products into its product portfolio. The range of products include band knife cutting machines, straight cutting machines, thread trimming machines, cone winding machines, sewing machines, embroidery machines, finishing equipments CAD systems, packing equipments and many other allied products required by the sewn product industry.
