
Activewear brand TechnoSport has opened its first exclusive brand outlet (EBO) in Andhra Pradesh in Vijayawada. As the company’s 14th outlet in India, this is part of the larger play to open 50 stores by the end of 2025 with a significant thrust towards expansion across South India.
Extending 1,800 sq.ft. in the heart of Vijayawada, the new store will target the city’s fitness-conscious population and burgeoning sports culture. The site was selected partly because Vijayawada has a strong track record of producing world-class athletes in sports like badminton, rowing and athletics—predominantly supporting the brand’s high-performance, climate-sensitive clothing.
The Vijayawada store has a complete range of activewear from the company including performance tees and polos, joggers and track pants and equipped with proprietary technologies like DURACOOL+ and TECHNO DRY. These feature UPF 50+ sun protection, anti-microbial finish, moisture-wicking fabrics and improved stretch recovery to ensure all-day comfort and durability.
This opening comes after recent entries in Bengaluru and Pune, with others in cities such as Chennai, Ooty and Raipur in the pipeline. The expansion demonstrates TechnoSport’s focus on consolidating its hold in primary city fitness markets in India.
Company management highlighted the importance of this milestone. Co-founder and Managing Director Sunil Jhunjhunwala mentioned that Vijayawada’s rich sporting culture made it the perfect destination for their first venture in Andhra Pradesh. CEO Puspen Maity further stated that every new store is designed to provide an experiential brand touch that brings TechnoSport’s innovations closer to consumers.
