The Moroccan market has welcomed the footwear brand Relaxo, which intends to open two to three exclusive brand stores via a local distributor in addition to selling a limited selection of its items through multi-brand outlets.
Relaxo Footwears’ executive vice president Ritesh Dua, said of the launch by opining that Morocco is a strategic market for the company since it is north of Africa and has a lot of effect on Europe and added by saying that Relaxo is already present in east Africa but Morocco as a market has been on the company’s wish list. Relaxo will be prioritising its Sparkx brand in the country since the market is exposed to shoes and sneakers.
Around 5 per cent of Relaxo Footwears’ total revenue comes from exporting its footwear items to more than 30 nations globally. Among Relaxo’s brands are Sparkx, Bahamas, and Filte. Over the next five years, the company intends to aim double digit growth while concentrating on growing in regions where it already has a retail presence.
Dua added by saying Relaxo has experienced significant growth over the past few years and this momentum will be maintained in the coming years. He also said that this will be achieved by working on expanding geographically and leveraging a presence in existing markets via tailor-made products, local feet on the streets and data-backed decisions.
