Primark is all set to win the hearts of the people of Czech Republic!
The Irish fast fashion retailer has opened its maiden store in the capital city of Prague, which also happens to be retailer’s 14th market.
The move is seen as retailer’s fast-growing footprint across the Europe and the US, while creating more than 300 jobs in the country – especially at a time when the retail world is still battling job crisis.
In fact, the new store is a part of Primark’s expansion in Central Eastern Europe following the store openings in Slovenia as well as in Poland.
Located at the cultural centre of Prague (Wenceslas Square), the new store is spread across an area of 49,800 square feet spanning 3 floors.
Besides displaying the best of kidswear and fashion, the store also showcases homeware and beauty products.
Notably, the 56 fitting rooms, across the floors, is a delight for any shopper visiting the store.
Going forward, the retailer has a signed a lease to launch its first store in Slovakia and intends to open 2 more stores in the Polish cities of Katowice and Krakow, reportedly, by next year.
There are also talks of opening another store in Czech Republic in 2022.
The Dublin-based retailer majorly has its operations in Europe and the US, and generated £7.79 billion in 2019.
