American retail chain Nordstrom has announced to launch two new Nordstrom Local stores next month to offer convenient services in their neighbourhood. The two stores, in Los Angeles’ The Bloc and Brentwood areas, will be operational from October 12.
Notably, the new stores will be much like the first Nordstrom Local store which opened its doors last October on Melrose Avenue in LA. The US-based retailer has claimed that it will offer consultations with personal stylists, buy-online-pick-up-in-store service, alterations, curbside pick-up, and returns from Nordstrom.com and other online third-party retailers.
Jamie Nordstrom, President of stores said that Los Angeles is the company’s most engaged markets, that caters to around four million shoppers. “One of the major things we want to achieve with Nordstrom Local is to offer aid to the shoppers with a smooth and convenient experience by offering various services,” he added.
Furthermore, the company has also revealed that it will come up with a new feature named, ‘Get It Fast’ on its online marketplace and mobile application in eligible zip codes in LA, that will offer the consumer with a real-time information of the inventory available not more than the next day.
With the ‘Get It Fast’ option, a customer can either opt for a free next day shipping option or select a Nordstrom Local or Nordstrom outlet to pick up their purchase.
The US-based leading fashion retailer at present operates 377 outlets across 40 states in the country along with Nordstrom.com, Nordstromrack.com, Trunkclub.com, and Hautelook that serves the brand’s vast customer-base through online retailing.
