Next, the UK-based clothing retailer, has unveiled its maiden Gap concession in its Oxford flagship.
With the launch of the store – which marks Gap’s return to the UK high street – the shoppers can now utilise customisation services in store to add embroidery, badging and monogramming to Gap products.
The British clothing retailer had, last year, signed a joint venture to manage Gap’s UK and Ireland division following Gap’s decision to close 81 stores in the region.
The partnership helped the US retailer join Next’s Total Platform e-commerce business and paved the way for Gap shop-in-shops to open in selected Next stores.
Notably, the majority of the space in the Gap shop-in-shop is dedicated to kidswear though it also includes womenswear and menswear.
The effort to bring more concessions into its shops comes as Next adopts the department store model.
The British clothing brand generates £3,284.1 million and is also known for its footwear and home products.
