Nawaz Modi Singhania has stepped down as a director on Raymond Limited’s board. As per an exchange filing, the resignation is effective from 19th March 2025.
“We thank Nawaz Modi Singhania for her services as a Board member over the years,” said Gautam Singhania, the company’s chairman and managing director, in response to the departure. As a business, Raymond is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of governance while navigating the ever changing industry, he adds.
She and Gautam Singhania married in 1999 and in 2023, Gautam Singhania publicly announced his separation from Nawaz, stating that they had decided to pursue different paths.
In addition to manufacturing fabrics, the Raymond Group has also ventured into engineering and real estate. In 2024, Raymond Limited demerged its Lifestyle Business into a distinct publicly traded company, leaving it with two primary businesses: engineering and real estate.
