Moose Knuckles, the Canada-based luxury outerwear and sportswear brand, is the latest fashion brand to announce its commitment to go fur-free.
The decision is being seen as a part of brand’s new sustainability programme.
Besides some of the social and environmental initiatives undertaken by the brand lately, this is another sustainable commitment wherein the brand will end all its production with natural fur by the end of 2022.
Last month, another Canadian brand, namely Canada Goose, had announced a similar sustainable commitment.
Amongst other commitments, Moose Knuckles will also eliminate textiles like conventional cotton, virgin polyester and virgin nylon from all its clothing by the end of 2025.
The brand has also been vocal of working towards attaining a circular business model wherein the focus will be to ensure all its products qualify for take-back, re-commerce and recycling programmes by the end of 2025.
Besides, by the same time, the brand also plans to reduce all carbon emissions so as to battle the climate change.
The brand also added that the steps announced to go fur-free are reflection of the voices of the communities it engages with and also its team’s commitment to play a key role in creating a more sustainable mother earth.
Established in 2007 as a luxury sportswear brand, Moose Knuckles specialises in parkas and winter jackets that are of exceptional quality as well as are stylish.
