Eurofund Group, a prominent pan-European real estate investment and development firm, has officially revealed that the renowned fashion brand Mango will be joining Silverburn in Glasgow. Expected to open its doors in 2024, Silverburn will house a brand new 6,572 sq.ft. fashion store, rejuvenating an existing unit to accommodate Mango. Eurofund Group, in collaboration with private equity real estate company Henderson Park, secured ownership of Silverburn, Glasgow’s premier shopping center, in a significant € 166 million transaction in March 2022.
Mango, a leading fashion entity in Europe, is strategically expanding its presence with two existing stores in Glasgow. The brand has optimized its footprint globally, boasting a network of over 2,600 stores in more than 115 markets.
Alberto Esguevillas, CEO UK Retail at Eurofund Group, expressed excitement about Mango joining Silverburn, emphasising the mutually beneficial opportunity. He highlighted Mango’s choice of a prime unit as a testament to Silverburn’s consistently strong performance, celebrating the brand’s selection of their center, as the latest destination.
The Mango partnership aligns with a period of enhancements at Silverburn, including the introduction of a new children’s play area, improved seating and furnishings, and additional greenery both inside and outside the center. These upgrades position Silverburn as a premium family destination. Moreover, in 2022, Silverburn welcomed numerous new retailers and brands like The White Company and Polestar, enriching its fashion offerings that already include popular labels such as Next, Zara, New Look, JD Sports, and Flannels.
