Citing the growing power of the “teen pound” and the high demand for fashionable, reasonably priced youthwear, Mango is rapidly expanding its teen-focused fashion line in the UK.
On August 1st in Glasgow, the Spanish fashion behemoth will open its third standalone Mango Teen store in the United Kingdom. With this debut, the brand opens its first Teen store outside of London and its first Teen store in Scotland.
The action comes after Mango Teen’s successful performance in the UK, a market it views as “a priority” for global expansion. Through independent retailers in London, the brand has become popular with Gen Z consumers.
Currently, the UK has more independent Mango Teen outlets than any other foreign market. The number of freestanding Teen stores doubled in 2024 as a result of Mango’s global expansion plan, reaching over 40 locations globally and included an online presence in 95 markets.
The growth is in line with Mango’s impressive H1 2025 results, which showed a 12% year-over-year rise in turnover to £1.4 billion. 78% of total revenues during the period came from international companies, demonstrating Mango’s expanding clout outside of its home market.
Berta Moral, Global Director of Mango Kids and Teen, stated that the brand has identified a clear gap in the market for contemporary, youthful fashion at an accessible price point, and noted that Mango’s collections are already striking a chord with the younger generation. She added that this growing demand is driving the company to accelerate the expansion of Mango Teen in the UK through the launch of new standalone Teen stores and the introduction of stylish new collections.
