As a part of the campaign ‘Khadi is not the old Khadi’, Kerala-based Kunnukara Khadi shirts will be launched under the brand Papilio.
The unit produces hand-spun, hand-woven cotton and silk garment and they have collaborated with the Institute of Fashion Technology, Kerala, to launch new designs for the shirts.
Kerala Khadi Village Industries Minister P. Rajeeve will launch the new product. The shirts will be available at various prices, starting from Rs. 900, with a 30 per cent rebate option.
The brand offers a segment of Khadi shirts, Khadi churidar and dresses for kids. The aim of the brand is to target the market with no age restrictions.
The brand’s product offering will be stocked in over 200 Khadi Board outlets and sold online through Flipkart.
The Kerala Khadi Village Industry Board expects to reach Rs. 150 crore sales target during the time of Onam.
