The executive restructuring at Kering is still under progress. The group’s announcements state that Mehdi Benabadji, who has been the CEO of Brioni since 2020, would move to Ginori 1735 and be replaced as CEO of Brioni by Federico Arrigoni, the deputy CEO of Saint Laurent.
Before relocating to Saint Laurent in 2015, Arrigoni, an Italian national, began working for Kering in 2006 through Gucci, where he held positions in human resources. Prior to being named deputy CEO in July 2023, he had a number of high-level roles there, including director of human resources, president of Asia Pacific in 2020, and global commercial responsibilities.
Arrigoni started his career at Decathlon in 1996 and worked his way up to retail management positions. In 2002, he became Autogrill’s HR director. He entered the luxury market in 2004 when he joined Dolce & Gabbana as the HR director for Europe.
Mehdi Benabadji, who had been at the helm of Brioni since 2020, is now moving to Ginori 1735, where Kering highlights his proven expertise in driving strategic transformation and expanding global presence.
He oversaw the successful operational reform and quick growth of Brioni, which cemented the brand’s position in the market for upscale ready-to-wear for men.
