
a.k.a Brands, the direct-to-consumer fashion platform, has bought the renowned Australian streetwear brand Culture Kings for an amount that hasn’t been revealed as yet.
While speaking to media, a.k.a Brands said that access to its platform will enable the Australian streetwear label to speed up profitable growth in direct-to-consumer brands by leveraging collective scale and operational support within an asset-light, data-driven playbook of best practices.
Corroborating further, Jill Ramsey, CEO, a.k.a Brands said that the acquisition of Culture Kings would help the latter expand in current and new locations.
Jill added that it would further provide Culture Kings with all business support and expertise and help them focus on art of fashion.
Started in 2008, Culture Kings today stocks a curated collection of more than 100 world-renowned brands.
Culture Kings believes that a.k.a Brands will help it focus on its strengths of creating and curating quality products and, importantly, deliver it in unique and entertaining way.
The existing a.k.a. portfolio consists of 3 prominent brands, namely, Princess Polly, Petal & Pup and Rebdolls.
