
John Lewis Partnership, which operates John Lewis department stores, Waitrose supermarkets, etc., has appointed Keith Williams as non-executive Deputy Chairman of the company, effective April 4. Furthermore, Keith will continue his role of Non-Executive Director for two more years.
Elated with the appointment of Keith, Charlie Mayfield, Chairman of John Lewis Partnership said, “I’m delighted Keith has agreed to take up the role of Deputy Chairman. In the two years since his appointment to the Board he has made a valuable contribution to the Partnership and I look forward to working with him in his new role.”
Currently the Executive Chairman of British Airways, Keith is retiring from his role on March 31. Previously he was associated with companies like Reckitt and Coleman, Apple Computer Inc. and Boots.

The Partnership operates 46 John Lewis shops across the UK; an e-commerce wing – johnlewis.com; 346 Waitrose shops and waitrose.com; and business to business contracts in the UK and overseas. The business has annual gross sales of over £ 11 billion.
