JD Sports announces the full acquisition of Spanish sportswear retail company, Iberian Sports Retail (ISRG) closing the deal at the value of US $ 543 million with the aim to hold a stronger position in the European market.
The acquisition of the remaining 49.98 per cent shares in ISRG, which was under Balaiko Firaja Invest, S.L. and Sonae Holdings, S.A will give JD Sports sole ownership of ISRG.
ISRG has over 460 retail outlets across Europe including well-known brands like JD Sports in Iberia, Sprinter in Spain, Sport Zone in Portugal, and Aktiesport and Perry Sport in the Netherlands.

ISRG is a highly successful business and one of the leading players in sports retail in Iberia.”
