Online multi-brand fashion retailer Farfetch has roped in Yasmin Sewell, former Fashion Director of Style.com, to join the firm as its Vice President of Style and Creative.
In the newly minted role, Sewell will be heading the global creative and editorial direction as well as leading all content operations from the styling viewpoint for the retailer’s website.
Farfetch’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) John Veichmanis believes that the creative expertise of fashion expert Natalie Massanet (who departed from Yoox Net-a-Porter to join him as Non-Executive Co-Chairman earlier this year) and style veteran Sewell will put Farfetch at the centre of fashion industry’s digital axis.
“We want to develop new and inventive creative formats that help our customers discover more of the wonderful product available at Farfetch. We’re so excited about Yasmin joining the team to lead our style and creative strategy as she shares our passion for innovative digital thinking and product discovery,” avers Veichmanis.
Farfetch is making waves every day in the fashion’s digital landscape having teamed up with JD.com, China’s second largest retailer after Alibaba to expand business in the country.
The company has also announced its Store of the Future, which is essentially an augmented retail experience that merges the real and virtual worlds, using data collected from its network to improve the experience of shopping at large.
