
Delta Apparel, a prominent provider of activewear and lifestyle apparel products, has seen its first-quarter net sales rise by 7 per cent to clock US $ 126.9 million.
The same quarter in the previous year (FY ’21) saw the sales number touch US $ 118.7 million.
Notably, the Q3 net sales in the Delta Group rose by 3 per cent to post US $ 106 million.
Lifestyle brand Salt Life’s net sales rose by 30 per cent to US $ 20.9 million – all thanks to double-digit year-over-year growth in wholesale and retail channels.
Segment sales surged in the Global Brands business with both revenue and unit expansion with an expanded array of value-added service offerings.
Sales in the Delta Direct channel slumped after a fall in demand for activewear primarily in the Retail License business.
While Delta’s operating income dropped to US $ 9.3 million (it was US $ 11.9 million a year earlier), the net income was US $ 6.2 million (it was US $ 8.2 million a year earlier).
