M&S has stopped hiring as it copes with the aftermath of an ongoing cyberattack. According to The Telegraph, the food and fashion giant stopped hiring and deleted all of its online job postings after the ransomware attack.
The M&S website states that as of April 22, it was hiring for 232 positions in its stores, warehouses, and offices. According to the retailer, there are currently no open opportunities.
A banner on its job site reads: “We are sorry, but you are not now able to search for or apply for vacancies. We’re working hard to get back online as soon as we can.
It is thought that those who applied last month are still waiting for a response.
During the Easter Bank holiday, it aligns with M&S’s supply issues as it copes with the fallout from a ransomware assault. Last Monday, the business was compelled to block all online orders and stop accepting contactless payments as part of its “proactive management” of the issue.
The hacker collective known as Scattered Spider has been discovered in connection with the current M&S cyberattack.
