Ann Summers is among first companies to open dedicated shopfronts on the Deliveroo platform, which is part of a new virtual store structure that Deliveroo has introduced for retail partners.
Within the Deliveroo app, the new visual storefronts—which are currently operational in Cambridge and London—will enable advertisers to provide more individualised, branded buying experiences.
According to the fast delivery behemoth, Deliveroo’s quick grocery and retail network, Deliveroo HOP, would be used to fulfil and deliver the actual products.
Deliveroo HOP had previously offered Ann Summers, but this new collaboration allows the business to broaden its product line. Additional items from Ann Summers’ Self Love line are being introduced.
According to Deliveroo, the virtual shopfronts will boost discoverability, deliver a brand-led purchasing experience, and give retail partners more freedom to customise their product offerings. Through Deliveroo’s delivery-only HOP network, the service also helps shops in specific locations who don’t have actual stores contact new customers.
