Canada Goose has announced a collaboration with Brooklyn-based fashion label KidSuper as part of its multi-year partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA).
NBA All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Canada Goose’s newest global brand ambassador, was introduced at the same time as the partnership.
In the global campaign for Canada Goose & NBA’s KidSuper, Gilgeous-Alexander takes the lead. He won the title of GQ’s Most Stylish Man of the Year in 2022 and is highly regarded in the fashion industry for both his on-court and off-court achievements.
“The NBA, and many of its players, have become purveyors of taste and style. Shai, our newest Global Brand Ambassador, is at the top of his game across every facet of performance, style, and culture – much like Canada Goose has been for more than 65 years,” said Dani Reiss, chairman & CEO, Canada Goose.
Launching on 8th February, the limited-edition Canada Goose & NBA Collection includes four high-performance pieces: a jacquard toque, a crofton puffer, a reversible fleece jacket, and a reversible vest.
Colm Dillane, the creator and designer, added his figurative paintings and sketches to the collection. He is well-known for his maximalist masterpieces. The collection includes two original pieces: “Landscape,” which shows snow-capped mountains with frozen lakes below, and “Purple Crowd,” which shows an abstracted gathering of enthusiastic spectators inside a stadium.
