
Birkenstock, the German footwear company, reached a significant milestone in its India expansion with the opening of its 50th mono-brand store in Phoenix Palladium Mall, Mumbai. The opening was shared on the firm’s official LinkedIn page and underscores the importance of India as a market within the Birkenstock global retail space.
Birkenstock has quickly increased their footprint, now operating 50 stores across 27 different cities in India. The new 1,100 sq.ft. store at the Phoenix Palladium includes Birkenstock’s renowned minimalist and functional design, and features the brand’s widest product assortment ever inclusive of seasonal icons, classics, and the BIRKENSTOCK 1774 premium collection exclusive.
The brand indicated that they have opened 15 stores just in the past year alone, with another five to seven store openings before the end of the fiscal year, which demonstrates their ongoing confidence in the Indian consumer.
