Troubled e-commerce firm Evaly has reached out to the Government, seeking intervention to facilitate a meeting with payment gateways and courier services as part of its efforts to expand its business.
The company has formally requested the Commerce Ministry’s assistance in this matter, as disclosed in a letter accessed by the media.
Prior to the suspension of Evaly’s operations, numerous products were dispatched to courier companies for delivery, with the payment handled through a gateway’s escrow service. However, after the suspension, there has been a lack of information regarding the delivery status of these goods from the courier companies.
To address this issue, Evaly is seeking a meeting with courier companies such as Paperfly, REDX, eCourier, and AJR Courier Service Ltd., to gather information about the pending deliveries.
Additionally, the company is advocating for a session with payment gateways, including bKash, Nagad, The City Bank, Upay, SSLCOMMERZ, and South East Bank, to expedite the refund process.
