The 8583 Melrose Avenue location in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, has Alexandre Mattiussi’s first store, which debuted mid-January. Less than a year after he opened his first New York location in Soho, the French designer experienced something new.
The Ami store is located in a brand-new building with expensive windows that represent the sky of Los Angeles. The name of the French company and its iconic “Ami de Coeur” logo are now displayed in black on the building’s exterior.
The Ami store, which pays homage to the Parisian hôtels particuliers with its vaulted ceilings, has evocative floors and a black checkerboard design.
The mirror-and-faceted disco wall displays the lines and the racks showing the Ami handbag collections in a way that perfectly complements the silver lame dress model from Ami’s collection.
