Prior to Amazon, Beachamp was working as a Senior Adviser at Boston Consulting Group, having left Ralph Lauren in May 2016 in just eight months for personal reasons in the midst of a management reformation. She boasts of an impressive career that began at Goldman Sachs and Boston Consulting Group before L Brands Chief Executive Les Wexner roped her in to renovate Express and Victoria’s Secret in 2003, where she was named Chief Executive within just two years of joining.
Her trajectory of commanding tremendous growth in branded apparel retail could demonstrate wonders for Amazon Fashion as it works up its share in the market in this burgeoning category and invest in data-driven private labels, including active wear and lingerie. According to a report from Cowen & Co, Amazon’s apparel sales are predicted to increase by about 30 per cent to US $ 28 billion in 2017 itself.
