More than 37 per cent local RMG industries have been categorised in Grade A through a year-long industrial survey conducted by the labour ministry last year. Department of inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) under the labour ministry published the report which states that 842 or 37.14 per cent of the total 2,267 factories inspected, got Grade A, following the 26 compliance rules such as regulated workers recruitment, payment per policy direction, allowing trade union, ensuring worker’s individual safety and life insurance and the secured working environment. The industries under the survey were among the members and non-members of the BGMEA and BKMEA.
