Bangladesh Garment Buying Agents (BGBA) held a constructive meeting with senior officials from BRAC Bank PLC on Monday. The meeting featured prominent figures from BGBA, including President Mohammad Mofazzal Hosen Pabel, General Secretary Mohammed Zakir Hossain, and esteemed Executive Committee members. They were joined by Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Deputy Managing Director and Head of the Corporate & Institutional Banking Division, along with other senior officials from BRAC Bank.
The main purpose of the meeting was to extend appreciation to BRAC Bank for its sponsorship and steadfast commitment to enhancing the RMG sector.Both parties explored potential opportunities for future collaboration and engagement activities designed to enhance the ease of doing business for Buying Houses.
Key discussion points highlighted during the meeting included the development of dedicated banking services tailored specifically for Buying Houses, assistance with Letters of Credit (L/C), Telegraphic Transfers (TT), and Sales Contracts to streamline operations. Additionally, specialised training programs for the commercial teams of Buying Houses were proposed to boost efficiency and accuracy.
