Employees at Bata India’s Hosur facility in Tamil Nadu are now eligible to participate in the voluntary retirement plan (VRS).
The business had introduced a similar VRS at its Southcan operation in Karnataka last September. The corporation spent US $ 4.66 million on staff programs like VRS during the July- September quarter.
Bata stated in a regulatory filing that the implementation of the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) would be mutually beneficial for both the employees and the company. The VRS at the Hosur facility is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to offer employees options that align with their personal aspirations.
With more than 1,950 locations, Bata India is one of the top shoe retailers in India, carrying brands including Floatz, Hush Puppies, and Power.
