Sustainability and transparency are interrelated and have direct or indirect relation at the local as well as global levels. From decades, industry experts strongly believe that there is no sustainability without transparency. Transparency is a powerful tool for focusing on labour abuses and factory-related dangers, and advocates critical information about where to turn to for problems. As the Indian apparel exports dwindle, placements from the fashion technology institutes too are feeling the heat. Apparel Online approached some institutes for their comments on present placement scenario, only a few of them showed interest and shared news. The segment which stood at around US $ 3 billion in 2017 is projected to grow at a CAGR of around 14 per cent to reach US $ 6.5 billion by 2023.

With Narendra Modi-led NDA set to form the new Government for the second term in running, the industry is euphoric over the same and hoping for huge political and economic support.
