Jeanologia, a sustainable finishing solution provider, has launched a new concept of ‘5.Zero finishes’ with an aim to promote more sustainable processes of finishing the garment.
5.Zero finishes implicate zero discharge, zero manual scrapping, zero potassium permanganate spray, zero stone washing and zero bleach.
“Our aim is to set 5.Zero finishes as the standard in the denim industry, improving appearance and product quality with a neutral cost,” said Carme Santacruz, Creative Designer , Jeanologia.
The company has even launched two collections – ‘Indigo & Vintage’ and ‘All blacks edition’ with the application of 5.Zero concept.
The collection ‘Indigo and Vintage’ is inspired by 80s, 90s and 2000s, reflecting that with the use of Jeanologia’s laser technology the new era designs can be achieved in a sustainable way. The process further helps in saving the water usages.
The ‘All black edition’ collection shows the benefits of the eco-technology for developing finishes on black denim. It combines the use of its laser and G2 ozone technology, which eliminates the use of potassium permanganate spray and any other harmful chemicals.
The environmental footprint of all the developments made at Jeanologia is analyzed using its own developed EIM (Environmental Impact Measurement) software that measures water, energy and chemical consumption. It further helps in providing information of the environmental impact of their processes besides claiming their contribution to minimize the environmental footprint.
