
Annual Conference of State Textiles Ministers was organized in New Delhi (India) on 10th November at which ministers/senior officers from across the country shared their views, and put forward the requirements and priorities of their respective states for the growth of textile industry. Like the previous two editions, Tamil Nadu, North-eastern States, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and UP participated more actively and put their demands in detail. Karnataka and Rajasthan also highlighted their issues.
Most of the states have their focus on infrastructure, textile parks and handloom sector. Presiding the conference, Smriti Irani, Union Textiles Minister, Government of India, assured the states that Ministry of Textiles will support them in the best possible way.
