Zero10, an augmented reality (AR) fashion platform, has revealed a new partnership with Crosby Studios which will see the duo collaborate on a pop-up store concept that brings together a physical and virtual retail experience.
The immersive retail concept in New York seeks to expand the ever-evolving digital fashion ecosystem by making it accessible through a first-of-its-kind shopping experience.
The store itself is designed to be interactive, with tech-forward fitting rooms. The shoppers will have the opportunity to try on the digital-only clothing within the concept space.
The store will feature a five-piece virtual collection, available to purchase on-site, and an interior designed by Crosby Studios.
According to Zero10 CEO, George Yashin, the idea behind the space is “to combine metaverse experience with a focus on creation and interaction by bringing it to the physical world to make it more mainstream.”
Crosby Studios is best known for creating design-led furniture collections presented within immersive, VR and AR installations. It famously collaborated with Balenciaga on a conceptual sofa for Design Miami in 2019.
