Renowned US clothing retailer Old Navy has announced to donate US $ 500,000 to the non-profit Fifteen Percent Pledge with the intent to support the growth of Black creative entrepreneurs.
The apparel retailer is also expanding its Project WE series in association with the Fifteen Percent Pledge.
The Project WE and Fifteen Percent Pledge collection, reportedly, marks the first product tie-up for the Pledge in its efforts to expand access and opportunity for Black creatives.
With the expansion of the series, Old Navy and the Fifteen Percent Pledge will curate a selection of artists from historically marginalised groups to share their visions and voices with graphic tee releases through 2023.
The new Project WE series begins with two exceptional talents – Brazilian artist and illustrator Camila Rosa and Brooklyn-based artist Shanée Benjamin.
Old Navy is an American clothing and accessories retailing company owned by multinational corporation Gap Inc.
