Denim apparel imports of the USA have crossed US $ 2 billion mark in H1 ’22, noting 42.62 per cent yearly growth.
The recently released statistics by OTEXA further reveal that Bangladesh continues to remain the top denim shipper to the USA with US $ 445.50 million (up 57 per cent) worth of shipment value.
Mexico shipped US $ 362 million worth of denim garments to the US market and maintained its second spot in the tally, growing by 26.46 per cent on yearly basis.
Pakistan continued being a dominant country in denim apparel manufacturing as it noted 60.80 per cent yearly growth in the US market during H1 ’22 period clocking US $ 242.76 million export revenues in the category.
Vietnam and China noted 44.57 per cent and 26.42 per cent yearly growth, respectively, to ship US $ 218 million and US $ 188.24 million denim apparels to the US market in the first half of 2022.
Egypt has seen remarkable rise of 120.38 per cent in its denim apparel shipment to USA and fetched US $ 119.95 million export revenues in Jan.-Jun. ’22.
