Alvanon, the world’s leading sizing and fit technology company, has announced the speakers for 3D Tech Fest 2023: Redefining Fashion Intelligence, the annual gathering of global experts exploring the intersection of fashion and technology.
The three-day virtual conference, free to attend, will take place from 26th-28th September. As per Alvanon, speakers were selected from this year’s OPEN CALL, a request for proposals to identify breakthrough companies and global talent defining the fashion industry.
3D Tech Fest 2023 is set to host over 50 expert speakers from business, technology, fashion and apparel, retail, the outdoor industry, research, and academia. This cross-industry collaboration is said to challenge conventional human intelligence, explore the possible roles of artificial intelligence and inspire active innovation to determine a better and sustainable future for the fashion industry in 2023 and beyond.
“Over 80 applicants from twenty countries applied for the opportunity to present their ideas on the virtual stage at 3D Tech Fest 2023. Evaluated on their relevance, originality, and potential impact, proposals were reviewed and scored anonymously by a panel of industry experts,” informed Alvanon in a press note sent to Apparel Resources.
Speakers will include representatives from top brands and retailers REI Co-op and Outdoor Afro Inc., Country Road, GAP Inc., Lee – Kontoor Brands, Inc., Randa Apparel & Accessories and PVH/Calvin Klein Underwear, as well leading digital authorities from Alvanon, Bureau 555, Dressipi, PTTRNS.ai, STITCH, and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
In addition, Rick Helfenbein and Ahmed Zaidi will present keynote addresses alongside three panels of industry experts discussing sustainability and unchecked growth, why tech design belongs at the heart of your DPC strategy, and educating the next generation in new technologies.
3D Tech Fest 2023 will be divided into three Livestream Sessions. “Is Digital Defining the Future?” will take place on 26th September; “Digital Design in Practice” will take place on 27th September; and “Technology for a Better World” will take place on 28th September.
According to Alvanon, 3D Tech Fest participants can also visit “Fashion Intelligence in Focus,” an intimate virtual stage spotlighting software super user and “case studies” on new innovations each of the three days. Particular emphasis will be on users’ 3D experiences and the lessons learned. Software will include Style3D, Gerber Technology, Optitex, Vital Mechanics and Z-Emotion among others.
These sessions will also platform innovators with real solutions to sustainable challenges, including Kristen Anderson and Bridget Mollner of Iteration, a sustainable intimatewear brand and Danielle Elsener, founder of DECODE, a complete Zero Waste Design System that solves industry problems through design, education and production.
