Winssoft, an Erode based indigenous ERP and other software provider company having specialized ERP solutions for spinning, weaving and home textile industry, will now provide ERP for garment industry also. The ERP module for the garment industry is still under the development stage and will be made available in another three months. With more than a decade’s experience of working in the apparel and textile industry of India, M. Karthikeyen, CEO of the company told StitchWorld, “From last 12 years we are mainly providing solutions for the textile and home furnishing industry, where we have a lot of valuable customers, but now we want to expand our reach in the market with an ERP Solution for apparel manufacturers. First it will be offline and later it will be cloud based.” Another reason behind the company’s move is the movement of Karur-based textile and home textile companies towards garment manufacturing and since the region is the biggest customer base for Winssoft, the new solution has bright prospects.
The company has a client base of 300 customers using its textile costing and CAD software while more than 40 companies are using its ERP solution. Now the company is also focusing on newer markets like Chennai, Bangalore and North India. Karthikeyen claims that even a person, who just did his schooling, can operate software developed by Winssoft hence a company need not hire IT professionals for its ERP department. “Indigenous software for apparel and textile manufacturers is a must, because understanding of the production processes is very necessary for the success of an ERP system and it is due to our understanding and knowledge that we have found success in Industry,” shares Karthikeyen. Winssoft also has an edge in training which gives it better command over implementation as it is also training partners to the PDEXCIL (Powerloom Development and Export Promotion Council) for ISDS Integrated Skill Development Scheme), wherein it provides training in 11 courses and ERP is one of them.
