With a vision of automating the embroidery industry, Wilcom, a global organization headquartered in Sydney, Australia, has led the industry with ongoing innovations that push the boundaries of creativity in personalized expressions and apparel decoration. With presence in over 100 countries and a global community of more than 250,000 licensed customers, Wilcom’s embroidery software is easy-to-use and is a quality product.
With the growing market for rich Indian designs and embroidery, Wilcom has shifted its focus to India, where there is an array of techniques and methods for embroidery design creations which are not yet harnessed or digitized. There are even arts and practices that are carried out in India which are so unique that they are not easily duplicated.
Thus, in response to the Indian customer’s demand of the textile embroidery product that integrates CorelDRAW and by using direct vector-to-embroidery object conversion speeds up the design/digitizing process, IIGM, Wilcom’s Indian distributor, recently organized an advanced training course for Sales and Training Staff on CorelDRAW functions specifically related to embroidery design work.
“Since past two years, Wilcom is focusing quite strongly on the Indian market. Last year, we started developing Indian-specific features in our embroidery designing software. We have even released an update for the same and are working hard to counter piracy in software.
We have recently hired Martin, as our Chief Technical Officer to better support our operations in India. However, he is new to the industry with a background of working in the video-gaming industry,” averred Janos Horvath, VP – International Sales, Wilcom International Pvt. Ltd., introducing the new hire.
Elaborating on his shift to the apparel industry and discussing the benefits of having a background in video-gaming business, Martin added, “The embroidery artwork in India is no more a static process. It needs a dynamic working interface to fashion the glorious designs that make it unique. My background in the gaming industry assists in creating a more dynamic and responsive software for the Indian designers to give them a better platform to work on. Such software aim to prevent piracy and provide users legitimate platforms for them to work on.”
The versatile software works on one vector file which can be set up for screen print, digital print, sublimation, engraving, embroidery, appliqué, rhinestones, sequins or multi-decoration combinations. With CorelDRAW completely integrated with Wilcom software, the user can work fluidly between the different decoration techniques, visualize the finished results and keep it all in the one file for easy reference.
Built upon 30 years of innovation, EmbroideryStudio e3 Designing by Wilcom delivers a suite of sophisticated embroidery digitizing tools to create high quality and reliable embroidery designs. Stitch Manager, Machine Manager and Connection Manager – all modules in the software give the user all the options to make sending designs to production easy.
Out with the Update 5 for EmbroideryStudio e3 and DecoStudio e3, the software now starts up 50 per cent faster, has a simpler and cleaner user interface, and is inclusive of training videos and extended tool tips for learners or new users.
