Stratasys is set to unveil its 3DFashion™ direct-to-textile 3D printing technology at Texprocess in Frankfurt, showcasing how textile printing companies can spur profitable growth and unleash new design possibilities for designers and luxury brands.
Stratasys will introduce the J850 TechStyle™ 3D printer, showcasing the latest advancements in additive manufacturing alongside exclusive direct-to-garment capabilities. This technology offers manufacturers opportunities to create patterns and optical illusions that surpass traditional methods. Additionally, Stratasys will debut a direct-to-garment tool, enabling the enhancement of existing garments with fresh designs, extending their lifespan, reducing waste, and producing personalised and bespoke pieces.
A highlight of the showcase will be the commercial launch of the Original Urban Tattoo Collection, collaboration with designer Travis Fitch. This collection features 3D designs inspired by body tattoos that can be 3D printed onto garments like jeans and jackets, transforming old clothing into wearable art while promoting sustainability in the textile industry.
The versatility of the J850 TechStyle 3D printer allows users to print on semi-flexible or rigid materials in over 600,000 colours with matte or glossy finishes. Compatible with various software tools, users can adjust 2D patterns’ height, modify colours and textures, and convert them into 3D designs, resulting in high-quality customised designs that reinforce Stratasys’ position as a frontrunner in 3D printing innovation.
