Shima Seiki Mfg Ltd., a leading textile solution provider, is all set to showcase its latest technological innovations at the upcoming CISMA 2019, Sewing Machinery and Accessories show, to be held in Shanghai, China (Hall E2, Stand F12).
On display will be the ‘Shima cutting solution’, a fully integrated cutting system, offering smooth workflow from design and programming to fabric spreading, labelling, cutting and pick-up of cut parts.
The solution will be exhibited through demonstrations of company’s CAD/CAM lineup consisting of the SDS-ONE APEX4 design system, P-SPR2K fabric spreading machine with labeling option, P-CAM161 multiply computerised cutting machine and pick-up table with a pick-up projector.
SDS-ONE APEX4 being exhibited first time in China is the latest design system with fabric simulation capabilities in circular knitting, flat knitting, weaving and printing. The system reduces the sampling time, cost and material. The technology encapsulated with PGM software features improved interface and up to a 40 per cent increase in productivity compared to the previous APEX3 system.
The P-SPR2K computerised spreading machine is capable of delivering smooth spreading and stacking of knits and other fabrics with stretch capabilities. A labelling option for affixing labels to each part for smooth pick-up is also available.
P-CAM161 cutting solution is designed to deliver high-quality efficiency and productivity with good cost performance. The machine can handle a variety of fabrics and materials for flexible high volume production. The pick-up table features a pick-up projector that projects images of cut parts onto the fabric to increase efficiency and prevent human error in pick-up and sorting.
Furthermore, the prototype of company’s P-CAM160 single-ply computerised cutting machine will also be on display at JUKI booth. The machine will be demonstrating automatic pick-up and workflow to sewing machine as an example of the ‘Connected Industries’ Industry 4.0 proposal by the Japanese Government.
