Saurer, a leading yarn processing technology supplier, has announced the launch of a new Bobbin Cloud material flow system based on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. This revolutionary innovation has integrated the concept of Industry 4.0 in its existing winding technology ‘Autoconer X6’.
This system is equipped with decentralised processing aggregates and the material flow designed in a round loop. The new technology innovation moves the bobbins and tube automatically along the guideways to the processing aggregates. The bobbin cloud can provide the winding units with the prepared bobbins. Several parallel bobbin preparation stations can be installed to increase the cycle speed and capacity. Therefore, the entire circuit works as a material storage area.
The process reliability is further increased with the new optical tube inspector with infrared sensors. The inspector helps in detection of all types of yarn structures, even at high cycle rate, through the non-contact scanning.
Claiming Autoconer X6 to be the most modern winding machine in the market, the company has also integrated an online quality monitoring system called SPID. With this monitoring system, spinning-mill will be able to achieve high quality standards in yarn production.
