Pilotelli whose product range includes both single jersey and double jersey circular knitting machines, adapts to the changing fashion trends easily and thus making it popular.
Pilotelli, which delivers over 1000 machines annually, have just released its new Sinkerless single jersey (SL) machine in ranges available in gauges from 60 to18. The machine is 54 gauge, 30 inch version with a top running speed of 20 RPM where 30 denier and 15 denier lycra were used.
According to Pilotelli’s CEO, Fabrizio Merz, SL has several advantages and unique features. “The patented ‘sinkerless’ technology is believed to incorporate a ring which holds down stitches and the fabric, thus replacing sinkers. The SL consumes 50% less oil and uses much less energy due to the fact that it has fewer moving parts. Also vertical lines are eliminated resulting in beautiful high quality fabrics in fine gauges,” says Merz.
Pilotelli from Italy, manufacturer of quality circular knitting machines for nearly 30 years, are well known for their high performance in productivity, reliability, simplicity, user-friendly operations and maintenance.
Our competitors use sinkers or some other kind of holding down jacks which involve moving parts.
The other advantages of SL include, excellent visibility and access to the knitting elements, easy adjustment with elastane, patented fabric take-up system, reduced maintenance time and costs and reduced consumption of electricity, air, oil and longer needle life, the company further informed.
Pilotelli which manufactures in Italy and assembles both in Italy and China, says it will continue to build around 1000 machines in 2010 and retain ‘number one’ position in Turkey and be a strong contender in Brazil (where the second assembling line has commenced recently).
The company’s customers in India are: SLDR Fabrics (Ludhiana), US Fabrics (Tirupur), Sarandev Knitts (Tirupur), PKPN Spinning Mills, Palipallayam, Cheran Spinners Ltd, Sukkra Mani Fashions, Pallava Textiles Ltd and Shree Krishna Textile Mills.
In addition to above, 125 machines alone are operational in Ludhiana from last 5 years for terry and fleece.
