PANGAIA’s most recent collaboration could be the most forward-thinking example of the company’s commitment to sustainability to date. PANGAIA Lab, the discovery platform within PANGAIA, has released the new Spiber NXT GEN Hoodie in collaboration with Spiber, who arguably set the standard for sustainable textiles.
Spiber’s unique Brewed Protein, a synthetic, bio-based material highlighted by a cruelty-and-chemical-free manufacturing process, is used to create this new release from the intercontinental clothier.
Moreover, the garment’s label contains a unique QR code that user can scan to learn more about the product’s life cycle, environmental impact savings, care tips and more.
The new hoodie is the first step in expanding access to Brewed Protein materials, as well as the start of a multi-year agreement between PANGAIA and Spiber Inc.
Commenting on their collaboration with Spiber Inc., Amanda Parkes, Chief Innovation Officer, PANGAIA, stated “Spiber’s Brewed Protein fibres will disrupt the way we create fabrics through biofabrication and allow brands to transition away from carbon-polluting materials. The Spiber team shows a deep and impressive commitment to complex innovation; we both were eager to bring this capsule to life through PANGAIA Lab and show the cutting-edge technology is ready to scale.”
