Flat knitting machines on the stand were PLF-KS132 models in gauges 7, 12, 14, 16, a 7gg intarsia and 14gg intarsia. It is a computerized machine which not only performs basic functions as knit, tuck, miss, full jacquard, transfer and shaping, but can also choose intarsia yarn carrier or multi-gauge function as option to produce a mixture of fabrics. In addition, PLF-KS132 is also equipped with takedown setup comb, yarn cutter and grippers as well as stitch presser to increase production efficiency and product variety. The fully fashioned machines can produce plain knitting at a rate of 1.2 metres/second and intarsia at 0.85-0.9 metres/second.
[bleft]Pai Lung from Taiwan with a 33-year old history of machinery manufacturing, had for the first time a separate section in its booth for its flat knitting technology with 7 machines in the category on display at the show. Speaking excitedly about this change Edward Chen of Pai Lung exclaimed, “This is the first show where we have separated circular and flat knitting machines and they now have their own sales network.” This year Pai Lung machinery introduced a new computerised flat knitting machine that took the company three years to develop.[/bleft]
To take into account the problem of rising labour costs, Pai Lung’s computerized flat knitting machines adopt ergonomic concept to make complex control systems easy to use. This allows even the beginner to quickly learn to operate machines and contribute to actual production in fast pace in order to create profits for customers in the shortest time.
Chen announced that India is a large market for its machines but China remains the largest. On the basis of the growth in the number of visitors at its stall, he was also positive about the growing interest in Pai Lung’s machines from countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan and Turkey.
Applying the extensive R&D knowledge acquired during its rich history in the design of new machines, Chen assured that Pai Lung’s business
is on the rise since its production this year had been much better than the last, with confidence returning to the market.
Trilok Kumar Dhingra of Virka Textiles, the Indian agent of Pai Lung machineries, was convinced that this machine is best suited for the Indian market. “In order to serve more customers in the knitting industry, Pai Lung has utilized its strong mechatronic capability and knitting technology know-how to develop a series of collar machines and computerized flat knitting machines. These flat knitting machines are not only equipped with advanced control systems, but also are manufactured under the same production control as that of Pai Lung’s famous circular knitting machines production process, from selecting the international norms of steel to the precise CNC machining , to the strict assembly process,” he stated.
