Swedish traceability firm Haelixa has secured funding (undisclosed amount) from the Zurich Silk Association (ZISG) to support its mission of DNA marker technology for complete supply chain transparency. ZISG’s board expresses pride in being part of the investors supporting Haelixa’s aim to provide a traceable fingerprint for stakeholders in the textile industry through this innovative technology.
Haelixa’s Co-Founder and the Chairman of the Board, Gediminas Mikutis expressed gratitude for this financial support received and quoted, “We are profoundly grateful for the generous support ZSIG provides and their exclusive network. As an association with a rich history in textiles, ZSIG has a track record in selecting future-proof solutions, and this contribution reaffirms our shared commitment to innovation.”
Haelixa aspires to become the global benchmark for physical traceability. Their engineered, resilient DNA markers are capable of withstanding all processing and treatment in the supply chain and hence enable textile and fashion companies to make ethically conscious decisions. By continually testing products for their DNA as they progress through the value chain, Haelixa ensures the presence of the initially marked materials. This traceability empowers brands to substantiate their claims and obtain data for calculating their environmental and social footprint.
