Bullish on the Bangladeshi garment industry, Zhejiang MAQI – the Chinese pioneer of sewing machines — is now expanding its dealership network and identifying new distribution channels in the country and at the same time, the company also intends on continuing to work closely with the end user – the garment manufacturers.
Looking at covering all corners, MAQI is stepping up its R&D and after-sales efforts. While a new single needle lockstitch machine with an auto trimmer is slated for a launch in mid-2016, the company will soon be setting up a local subsidiary office in the country for providing better after sales service and training initiatives. The company already has an R&D institute in Shanghai – China’s commercial and business centre, to develop a strong technical foundation for the sustainable development for their organization.
Feeling positive about Bangladeshi manufacturers accepting automation, Edison Zhu, Sales Manager, Global Marketing Centre states, “Two years ago everyone was using clutch motor machines but now everyone is using direct drive machines and even buying high-end automation. This purchase pattern will only grow in the times to come as Bangladesh is in serious pursuit of high-quality products.”
Apart from this, the company’s machines also present an avenue for saving power and offering better costs. The machines are capable of reducing power consumption by 70 per cent. One machine can save energy equivalent to US $ 1,000 in one year,” claims Zhu.
The LS 9802MX-TD3/TD4 High speed direct drive computerized lockstitch sewing machine, LS 202-TD3 High speed lockstitch sewing machine and LS 798D Super high speed overlock sewing machine are some of the popular machines from the company. A perfect integration of mechatronic lockstitch sewing machine, LS 9802MX has a built-in electronic control box and control panel. The self-lubricating design of take-up-lever mechanism increases the service life of the machine and the servo motor enables energy saving of up to 60 per cent.
With similar capabilities, the LS 202-TD3 is equipped with a round knife trimmer to ensure accurate thread trimming, reverse sewing electromagnet, automatic needle positioning and automatic reverse sewing.
Another machine equipped with direct drive motor is the LS 798D overlock machine, which uses a silicone oil cooling lubrication device to cool and lubricate the needle and thread. Available in single, double and three needle variants, the machine has a completely enclosed needle bar that prevents oil leakage.
The ISO 9000-certified company, located in Taizhou Wenling City in China has a manufacturing facility that spreads over an area of about 60,000 sqm, with an annual production capacity of 400,000 sets of industrial sewing machines.
