The 12th Sewing Machinery Industry Leading Enterprise Summit was successfully held in Jiangsu (China) recently themed – “Cooperating Double Cycles, Expanding New Markets.”
The leaders of the Chinese sewing technology industry and associations marked their presence in the summit including SG Group, Jack Stock, IMB, Dahao and China Textile Information Center,amongst many others.
He Ye, Vice Chairman of the China National Light Industry Council and Chairman of the China Sewing Machinery Association (CSMA) also attended the summit, while Secretary-General Chen Ji hosted the summit.
Dong Kuiyong, Deputy Director of the China Textile Information Center, commented his thoughts on the future situation and the development direction of the textile and clothing industry in the post-COVID era through a review and analysis of the goal completion in 2020.
Dong also put forward the ‘14th Five-Year Plan’ development positioning to enhance core innovation capabilities, sustainable development capabilities, resource allocation capabilities, strengthening service-oriented manufacturing and optimisation & development for the sewing machinery industry.
Chen Xinhua, Chairman of IMB, corroborated that the future apparel companies will inevitably develop in the direction of intelligent manufacturing. “At present, the proportion of my country’s fully automatic sewing equipment in the world is increasing year by year, the category and quality have been greatly improved, the product structure has been continuously upgraded and optimised, and the market share of the low-end and low-end markets is showing a high growth trend,” informed Xinhua.
It’s worth noting here that the summit is held at the time when the industry strongly feels – inthe post-pandemic era –that it is important to promote its construction with the domestic cycle as the main body.
