At a recent event organized by VDMA Textile Machinery Association in collaboration with Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) – ‘German Technology Meets Vietnamese Textile’ in Hanoi (Vietnam), more than 600 business representatives and experts from Vietnam’s textile and support industries were introduced to Germany’s latest textile and apparel technologies.
Trương Van Cam, Deputy Chairman, VITAS said that the event provided an opportunity for companies to make contact, exchange information and establish a mutually beneficial co-operation with the German companies. He adds that to adapt modern technology in the Vietnamese textile industry, co-operation of high-technology providers is a must.

“Vietnam is a very important market in the area of textile, there is a need for Vietnamese textile industry to invest to modernize the technology and machinery. German companies and VMAD member companies are leading in this area, and that is the reason we are here,” said Boris Abadjieff, Director of Exhibition and Export Marketing – VDMA. The second event of the collaboration is taking place today in Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, which will once again serve as a platform to provide information about latest innovations and machineries from Germany for the textile industry.
Additionally, the recently signed TPP agreement is making Vietnam a much preferred textile manufacturing location by companies worldwide, and to meet the demand that will be generated in future, more modern machineries would be required.
