Texworld Paris selection committee has received a large number of applications from potential participants originating from every country with an established textile industry, such as China, India, Pakistan and Turkey. Almost 890 exhibitors are expected from countries which are cornerstones of the world textile industry: China, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Turkey, Pakistan and manufacturing nations such as Bangladesh, Egypt and Italy, which will showcase innovations and their new collections for autumn/winter 2016/17. Notably enough, the Indonesian pavilion will host 13 businesses this time, compared to only six companies at its launch. The development of the national pavilion highlights the dynamism of the country’s textile industry and the desire of the weavers and Indonesian government to strengthen their presence on the European market.
