After getting postponed two times this year, Texprocess Americas and Techtextil North America have finally been rescheduled beyond 2020.
The show organiser, Messe Frankfurt, recently announced that the next edition of Techtextil North America is now scheduled to be held from 23 to 25 August in 2021 in Raleigh, North Carolina (USA).
On the other hand, Texprocess Americas will take place in 2022 from 15 to 17 May in Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in Atlanta, Georgia (USA). This edition of Texprocess Americas will be co-organised with the 2022 edition of Techtextil North America.
Kristy Meade, Group Show Director of Technical Shows: Textiles, Sewn Products and Equipment, commented on this postponement, “We have been continuously monitoring the global outspread of COVID-19 pandemic which began earlier this year. To uphold our commitment towards the industry, we earlier decided to postpone these shows to 1-3 October 2020. However, we are once again faced with the difficult decision of whether or not to proceed as planned as coronavirus cases in USA continue to rise.”
It’s worth recalling here that both the shows were originally supposed to take place in May this year, but due to COVID-19 pandemic outspread all across the world, the organisers decided not to proceed with the pre-decided dates, and therefore announced in late March to postpone the exhibitions till December 2020.
Kristy, however, signaled towards organising alternative trade events in this meantime. “We intend to continue serving the industry by providing them with opportunities to show products, discover the latest technologies and innovations and network with other industry professionals until we are all able to come together again.”
