
The Sourcing at Magic show 2019, a leading trade fair with focus on smart design and advanced manufacturing, is set to be held from February 4-7, 2019, Las Vegas, USA. The event is being organized by UBM Fashion, the leading producer of world-renowned fashion trade-shows.
The show aims to bring together the apparel manufacturing, component, technology, and service providers from around the world. The main focus will be on smart design and advance manufacturing, with discussions over the topics such as make design changes in real time digitally, digital rendering of design in 3-D, 3D to 2D digital pattern rendering, smart colour management ‘rip’ system, and create and manage a virtual inventory.
Also, on display will be the design software, trend + colour innovations, and new machinery within the show’s newly launched smart-tech area.
Experts from around the world will be showing various concepts of advance manufacturing including the topics like precision cutting of textile materials, working with advanced materials, digital ‘direct to garment’ printing (cotton and synthetics), and sublimation printing, according to a press release on the show.
There will be a 15,000-20,000 square feet dedicated floor space for the companies to show live demo of Advance manufacturing machinery and companies like Tukatech and Mutoh will be exhibiting machinery and software’s to run and efficient micro factory.
Tukatech will also be giving demos of Styku body scanner, Cad system creating the style to a 3D form, and the software to manage files that will take the images in the Cad system and convert them to patterns and markers and send to the printer showing the same concept. Also, on display will be the automatic laser cutter guided by camera technology that will accelerate sewn-goods manufacturing with eco-friendly and agile automatic fabric cutting machines.
Mutoh, will be participating with its direct to fabric digital printer and heat press for post treatment of printing. Also, Royal Exclusive Cutting & Sewing Machine, will be be showcasing its Sewing stations.
The show will also have seminars on different topics of smart design and manufacturing. A seminar on ‘Fashion Design Is All About Tech And Innovation: Make Sure You Have The Skills’ will be moderated by Frances Harder, President, Fashion for Profit. The list of the speakers includes Stefano Aldighieri, President, Another Design Studio 2.0, Jennifer Lynn Peterson, Designer, Silver Jeans, and Ram Sareen, Head Coach-Founder, Tukatech.
The Fashion Snoops Trend installation will feature fresh trends, colors, and new looks for 2019 with four concept spaces, featuring different scents, colors, and materials for 2019. Vintage Archives: Morphew /paradox will feature trends, colors, fabrics, and vintage pieces from some of the very best designers. Aztex Denim Trend Display will show newest denim selection, latest trends, and cutting edge technologies the industry has to offer. While the Pantone will host this lounge featuring a plethora of colors including Pantone’s colour of the year Living Coral.
