‘Breakthrough to Excellence’ is the main theme of the 12th CEO Conference of The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) scheduled to take place on 7th September at Coimbatore (India). The conference, named as ‘SIMA Texpin 2018’ coinciding with the association’s 59th AGM, will have a deep discussion on sub-themes ‘Spectrum of Opportunities’ and ‘Next Generation Leadership’.
Established in 1933 and representing the entire textile value chain in South India, SIMA has over 500 members covering all textile sectors, from fibre to finishing.
A Vellayan, Former Chairman, Murugappa Group will mark the event as the chief guest and will also present Techno Facts awards, while Dr. Jairam Varadaraj, MD, ELGI Equipments Ltd will be the guest of honor.
The conference would focus on dealing with turbulent times caused by both the internal and external factors, converting the challenges into opportunities, weaknesses into strengths, creating a culture of innovation, loyalty and gaining competitive advantage. The conference would also dwell upon the need and strategies for developing next-generation leadership (Young CEOs).
Various textile industry experts, like Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam, Chairman, KG Hospital & KG Group of Institutions; Dr. N. Muthukumar, President & WTD, Automotive Axles Ltd; R.Vasanth, Marketing Manager, LMW; T. Murugan, Head (Speciality Products), Grasim Industries Ltd, will address the daylong event.
